Welcome!

"when used in folk and bluegrass music, the instrument can also be referred to as an upright bass, standup bass, bass fiddle, ...doghouse bass, dog-house, ...or bunkhouse bass." (Wikipedia)

My father, Charlie, played the bass in a Canadian band in the 1950s hence the name!

Jack Benny and Mel Blanc

Two of the funniest men on radio, and television in a classic routine from his radio show.

I am trying to find an episode with Mel Blanc and Jack Benny in which Benny played an explorer and Blanc a young Latin American. Blanc kept answering Benny’s questions with “si” until they both broke up. If you know anything about this segment I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you, Burt Miller
